Mandawa – Bikaner – Gajner
After breakfast, leaving for Bikaner, through Gajner. Gajner, is an incomparable jewel in the area and is built on the embarkment of a lake. Then moving towards Bikaner, a vibrant, dust swirling desert town with a fabulous fort and an energizing outpost feel. Around the full moon in January or very late December Bikaner celebrates its three-day Camel Festival. The ancient city was founded in 1488 by Rao Bika, son of Rao Jodha, Jodhpur’s founder, thought he two Rathore ruling houses later had a serious falling out over who had the right to keep family heirlooms. In 1886 it was the first desert princely state to install electricity. Overnight at the Hotel.
