India Shining in Motocross Championship abroad

Experts feel that this form of racing is more difficult than the track version as the preparation required for the same is completely diverse based on physical presence of the rider as well as his mental strength.
The name that every Indian can co-relate with that of dominating Motocross events is the team from TVS Racing. Their racers are exclusively trained for the tough grind of Motocross races and hence are able to ensure domination in almost all races that they participate in. This has been the tradition till date and their reign over this category continues.
This Indian racing team is now having plenty of reasons to celebrate as they have secured yet another commendable achievement. TVS Racing team-member Aravind K.P. has become the first Indian racer to secure a motocross title outside the geographical boundaries of the country. He recently won the SLARDAR Championship of 2011 held in Sri Lanka. Dominating the race throughout, Aravind was awarded the title of Championship winner. He secured a total 73 points to finish the race. In a recent ceremony Aravind was felicitated along with the Advisor Racing, R & D, TVS Racing, Arvind Pangaonkar.
Speaking on his achievement while being awarded the trophy, Aravind said that riding in the races in Sri Lanka was a great experience for him as the event taught him a lot of things that would go a long way in improving his riding skills in the future. Stating that the event had made him a better rider, Aravind also added that he was delighted at winning the championship.
Aravind competed for the championship in Sri Lanka with 21 other riders that included his teammates HK Pradeep, Santosh CS and the UAM Asian Championship 2010 winner, Tomoya Suzuki from Japan. The added incentive given to him for winning the championship included a fully sponsored trip for watching the Dakar rally. That event will be held later in the year.
Mr. Pangaonkar praised the organizers of the SLARDAR Championship, an event that had been one of the best conducted that he had seen till date. He said that the condition of the tracks were excellent, which helped in bringing out the best performance from riders as well as their machines. Speaking at the felicitation ceremony, Pangaonkar said that tracks of such good quality compelled riders to stretch their limits and forced them to excel.
