Ducati’s New 2012 Monster 1100 EVO Bike to Debut Soon in US

The bike called the ‘Ultimate Monster’ will flood American dealerships during the May 27 to 28 weekend, when bike enthusiasts will get a chance to view the 1100 EVO Ultimate Monster.
The dealers who are participating in this event throughout Canada and the USA will offer demo rides, host events as well as introduce consumers to the first Ducati air cooled bike which delivers a max power of 100hp. The main features of this bike include a new exhaust routing, tail section which has been redesigned, a slipper clutch which is race derived as well as a revised suspension.
This bike will also have the new safety pack from Ducati, which has ABS brakes and a traction control system, which can be adjusted on 4 different levels. According to Ducati, this will be the first bike from Ducati to deliver air-cooled 100hp, backed up a peak torque of 76 pounds feet with its Desmodue Evoluzione motor.
This bike also has the best in class ratio of power to weight with a 373 pound package, in the history of the company. To provide better rider comfort, this bike also has higher handlebars, and a redesigned seat, which will give Ducati riders the excuse of staying longer on their bikes and riding farther.
The company’s flagship Ducati bike has a price tag of $11,995. Customers can also choose from between two color choices, which include red, with a white racing style stripe running through the center, and a black or red Trellis frame with both the frame and stripe in a racing grey colour.
Both the Monster colours will make use of black sporty wheels, which have short and red pin-stripe. This can also be personalized further depending on the available liveries in the Monster Art innovative programme.
