Day 01

Arrival Ahmedabad

Warm welcome at the Airport by India World Travel representative and check in to the Hotel. During the day, visit the fascinating city of Ahmedabad having Gandhi Ashram, Calico’s Museums, Jami Mosque and Akshardham temple which is dedicated to Lord Swami Narayan. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 02

Ahmedabad – Bhavnagar

After Breakfast, drive to Bhavnagar by bus. Bhavnagar is a very colorful old core which makes base for journeys to near Black buck sanctuary. It was founded in mid 17th Century and has always been known as a cotton trading town.

Day 03


After breakfast, leave for Velavadar(Black Buck sanctuary) via Lothal which is a 4500 year old Harrapan (Indus Valley) archaeological site. Enjoy an Afternoon Wildlife & Birdwatching Safari at the Velavadar National Park, which has the largest concentration of black bucks in India. Overnight at the Hotel.

Day 04

Bhavnagar – Palitana

After Breakfast, drive to Palitana – a place of pilgrimage located on the hills of Shatrunjaya. Site consists of 863 temples, each temple competes by the other with its beauty and magnificence. The buildings are of varying sizes and interest. To reach the summit of the hill, one must climb the 3950 steps of the grand staircase built on the slope. The less brave or foolhardy can always hire carriers. Also on this hill there is a tomb of a Muslim saint, Pir Angar. Women desiring to have a child come for blessings. Amongst all, one must watch: The Temple of Adiswara in Vimlavasi, the most richly carved and decorated. We admire particular pillars and roofs marble which were carved dragons. The temple and its five domes Vimalshah central representing five sacred hills of Jains. Lunch in Palitana. Overnight at hotel.

Day 05


After breakfast visiting temple Talaja and lunch on the way and after the meals visiting the factory of a cotton farm cow care. Free time in Palitana. Overnight at hotel.

Day 06

Palitana – Diu

After breakfast drive to Diu, lunch on route, evening arrival at the hotel. Diu is the tiny ex-Portuguese island which has its own quick charm and serenity. Diu is clean uncrowded and boasts reasonable beaches , churches and an imposing fort, colorful streets and fresh sea food. Overnight at hotel.

Day 07


After breakfast. City tour visiting the Church of St Paul, Diu Museum and the Diu Fort. Lunch during visit. Evening at leisure. Overnight at hotel.

Day 08

Diu - Sasan Gir

After breakfast drive to Sasan Gir. It’s the last refuge of the Asiatic Lion, forested, hilly, 1412 sq km sanctuary about halfway between Veraval and Junagadh.It feels beguilingly uncommercial and simply driving through the thick, undisturbed forests would be a joy.Since late 1960’s lion numbers have increased from under 200 to 400. The other 37 mammal species includes, Chital, The Sambar, The Nilgai or Bluebull, the Chousingha, the Chinkara, crocodiles and rarely seen leopards. It’s a great destination for birdies too, with over 300 species. Lunch on route, evening arrival at the hotel. Overnight at hotel.

Day 09

Sasan Gir

Early morning safari and then birding in Gir National Park. After lunch, evening visit to Kamleshwar. Overnight at hotel.

Day 10

Sasan Gir – Junagadh – Gondal

After breakfast drive to Gondal via the historic city of Junagadh. Its an interesting small city with 2300 years of history, at the base if holy Girnar Hill. At the time pf partition the Nawab of Junagadh opted to take his tiny state to Pakistan – a widly populated decision as the inhabitanta were predominently Hindu, so the Nawab departed on his own. Here it would be a pleasure to visit the Fort Uparkot, Buddhist caves, rock Ashoka (3rd century BC. J.-C), the Darbar Hall Museum, the royal mausoleums of the 18th and 19th centuries, Nawabi buildings and temples and the Girnar Hills. Continue your journey to Gondal, which is a small, leafy town, located 38 kms south of Rajkot that sports a string of palaces and a gentle river. Lunch on the way. Overnight at hotel.

Day 11

Gondal - Morbi

After breakfast, drive to Morbi. It was a princely state until independence. The town is situated on river Machhu. The main source of livelihood is cotton and grain, visit to the gramodhyog to see weaving cotton. Lunch on Route. Evening at leisure. Overnight at hotel.

Day 12

Morbi - Rann of Kutch(Bajana)

After breakfast, drive to Route Bajana. The barren, blindingly white land of the Little Rann is the nature as its hardest and most compelling, and home to the last remaining population of the Chestnut colored Indian Wild ass, as well as blue bulls, black buck and chinkara.There’s also a huge bird population from October to March.

Day 13

Rann of Kutch

Early morning safari and visit to the village and salt mining. Lunch at Hotel. Enjoy an evening Wildlife & Birdwatching Safari in the Little Rann of Kutch Wild Ass Sanctuary in search of endangered desert wildlife like the wild ass and witness the sunset at a lake that attracts flamingos, pelicans, cranes and other attractive birds in large numbers. Overnight at the Hotel.

Day 14

Rann of Kutch - Ahmedabad

After breakfast, drive towards Ahmedabad.
